ZAKARY THAKS - Bad Girl b/w I Need You (Mercury - 1966)

Originally released on the smaller Texas J-Beck label in July of '66 it was picked up by Mercury in November of the same year. "Bad Girl" is a savage slice of Texas fuzz punk with a distinct Kinks flavor. Speaking of The Kinks, the B-side is a solid take on one of Ray Davies' grittier garage grinders.
