THE CIRCULATORS - Insufficient Fun (Total Punk - 2024)

Originally released as a demo in January 2023, The Circulators power pop pogo punk caught the attention of Total Punk Records. The eight tracks were retooled and bolstered with six new songs for the full length debut "Insufficient Fun". The festivities kick off with the 90's punk ripper "On The Loose" and don't stop until the last fist pump of "Can't Get My Way". The non-stop action channels the garage punk party sound of The Devil Dogs, the pure pop of The Exploding Hearts and the grit of The Dead Boys and The Saints. [Born Outta Time]

SONS OF HERCULES - S/T LP (Unclean - 1994)

From the moment the Texas based Sons Of Hercules backed their nitro charged debut outta the garage they launched a revved up assault on the senses. This 12" door slammer was built on the same road tested chassis Detroit legends MC5 and The Stooges rolled on. Their big block rock was injected with the high octane garage punk that was loaded under the hood of DMZ and sported the street ready swagger of the New York Dolls. [Born Outta Time]

MOUSE & THE TRAPS - Maid Of Sugar-Maid Of Spice b/w I Am The One (Fraternity - 1966)

Mouse & The Traps from Tyler, TX are widely recognized amongst 60s garage geeks for their Dylan-esque folk punker "A Public Execution" that was included on Lenny Kaye's pioneering "Nuggets" compilation.
Their frantic second single "Maid Of Sugar-Maid Of Spice" is propelled by some wicked guitar work, courtesy of Bugs Henderson, while retaining the same nasally vocal character as Mr. Zimmerman. [Born Outta Time]

ZAKARY THAKS - Bad Girl b/w I Need You (Mercury - 1966)

Originally released on the smaller Texas J-Beck label in July of '66 it was picked up by Mercury in November of the same year. "Bad Girl" is a savage slice of Texas fuzz punk with a distinct Kinks flavor. Speaking of The Kinks, the B-side is a solid take on one of Ray Davies' grittier garage grinders. [Born Outta Time]
